  • Greg Simonoff

    CEO | PRINCIPAL

    Greg Simonoff is a Founding Partner and Principal of SMS Architects. With extensive experience in management and design, Greg oversees the firm’s wide range of project types. He ensures that the Client’s design intent is accurately executed and balanced in accordance with their business considerations.

    Before founding SMS Architects, Greg was the Director of Retail / Mixed-use at MBH Architects in Newport Beach and a Principal at MGA Architects in Irvine, California

  • Stephanie Gilbert

    Co-CEO | PRINCIPAL

    Stephanie Gilbert works closely with our CEO, overseeing the firm’s management and leading the business development efforts. She is also responsible for managing the firm’s finances and business interests. Growing up in her family’s architecture and construction business, specializing in architectural glazing, laid the foundation for her expertise in the architectural field.

    Prior to joining SMS Architects, Stephanie worked with the team at MBH Architects and transferred her expertise to help establish and grow SMS Architects.

  • Brandon Dedmon

    CHIEF EXECUTIVE ARCHITECT | PRINCIPAL

    Brandon Dedmon contributes his years of experience on a diverse range of project types in the Architecture industry and has a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

    Brandon successfully led and delivered projects at MBH Architects and at SMS Architects. He plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the company’s project teams, effectively guiding project managers, and exceeding client expectations.

    DESIGN PRINCIPAL | MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Nicolas Biddle is responsible for creating, developing, and presenting design solutions to our clients. Nicolas has worked on a variety of large-scale, residential, retail, and mixed-use international projects. Before joining SMS Architects, he was a Design Architect for Elkus Manfredi Architects and worked at Jean-Paul Viguier Architects in Paris, France.

    Nicolas prioritizes place-making and forming meaningful design projects at multiple scales.

    Hessam Vakili is a design advocate with over two decades of experience, dedicated to excellence and community enrichment through innovative design solutions. With a diverse background spanning mixed-use developments, educational campuses, residential housing, and large-scale urban projects, he brings a holistic approach to every endeavor.

    Having worked with renowned firms like Gensler and Elkus Manfredi, Hessam is recognized for his leadership and commitment to delivering impactful results. Beyond his professional achievements, he is passionate about mentoring emerging designers and contributing to philanthropic causes, embodying a dedication to shaping a better future through design innovation and community engagement.
